Industrial designer Orhan Cieli created a project of environmentally-safe houseboat, that will survive not only the plane waters of lakes, rivers and bays, but also the turbulent waters of the ocean. It is all about the lowerpart of the house that keeps it balanced even in stormy weather.
At the base of the concept lays an ordinary bobber. The ideea is that the heavy lower part is projected in such way that, placed under water, balances the bobber not letting it turn upside down. The floating ring, at the beltline of the house, plays the role of the exterior deck, from one hand, and pier to other ships, from the other.
Acrylic panes resist any high pressure of storming waves and strenghten the house from outside. Actually, the acrylic dome is a good collector of rainwater, which getting through special filters and channels into storage of plane water, can be used for drinking and watering.
The upper part is equipped with a garden. While the top of the trees cool down the sunlight, before penetrating the house, the seawater is cooling down the lower part - making together a suitable airconditioning system to the entire house.
Besides, located in the lower part of the house, power engines convert ocean streams energy into motion energy proper to drive the houseboat.
A houseboat distinuished by such a high level of comfort and safety, will always be at your help and will never let you down even in open ocean.

Вообще идея интересная, но страшно подумать, что ты совсем один (может и с семьёй) среди океана, оторван от жизни и совершенно никому не нужен. Вокруг только вода и небо, даже не разгуляться. Так крыша поехать может! Ведь все мы привыкли к шумной, городской, насыщенной жизни. Жить в природе, на своём участке земли с созданным на нём экосистемой можно и даже нужно. А что делать там - посреди океана? А в целом идея не плохая.
Я бы такой дом в океане не “построил” - морская болезнь. А вот где нибудь на озере - где вода гладкая - можно - и до суши не далеко.
